Holland America Line has teamed up with Food & Wine Magazine to offer the Culinary Arts Center, a ground breaking program integrating your love for fine wine and food with a unique onboard cruise experience. You can sample fine wines, or learn how to create new gourmet dishes with learning from and working side-by-side with world famous chefs. As a teaser for what to expect, these are some of the names you can learn from and cruise with. Peter Marks, Director of Wine at COPIA will be on the Oosterdam on July 28, 2007. Bruce Sherman, Chef and Partner of Chicago’s North Pond restaurant, will cruise on the Ryndam on August 5, 2007. Lee Hillson, Executive Chef at T. Cook’s at Royal Palms Resort is cruising on the September 23, 2007 Statendam. Billy Reid, Executive Chef of the Belvedere Restaurant in Holland Park will be cruising on the Maasdam November 9, 2007.
The Culinary Arts Center will feature a theatre-style venue with a state-of-the-art demonstration kitchen, plasma video screens so attendees can see all the details, both demonstartions and hands-on classes with the chefs, wine and cheese tastings and food pairing seminars, and book signings and autograph sessions for the memobelia collectors. This will be a program to remember, so plan on becoming a part of one of the memorable experiences.
