Highlighting what will become one of the centerpieces of the Cunard’s newest liner, the Queen Victoria,
Cunard revealed pictures of the Queens Room. Home of the onboard live orchestra, the Queens Room affords guests the opportunity of dancing on a large, center-room dance floor. Romanticism will be everywhere as guests are invited to dance all night to the sounds of their favorite musical selections. The Queens Room is also the home of the world renowned English tea service, administered every afternoon by the Cunard’s signature white-gloved staff.
Keeping with the long standing traditions, other hallmark Cunard activities including the formal balls, the traditional Captain’s cocktail parties and Cunard World Club events will take place in this wonderful setting. The dramatic double-height Queens Room, a loggia-style venue, is reminiscent of a grand ballroom in a large country house, with cantilevered balconies overlooking the ballroom paying homage to the line’s iconic and much-loved QE2. The room’s stunning ceilings feature a pair of gleaming crystal chandeliers as well as specially commissioned murals - by British artists - reinforcing the line’s British heritage. Cunard has left no stone unturned, nor spared any expense, in re-creating this magnificent gathering place.
