Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Releases 2009 Itineraries

Beginning at the end of March, cruisers will have the opportunity to book nine Freestyle cruising ships to explore exotic destinations, from the wilderness of Skagway, to the pink sand of St. George’s, to the pyramids of Giza. Norwegian Cruise Lines is going all out to put on a new face in the public eye, and it’s working! Revived with new money, and some new key players, as well as outstanding veteran players in new roles, NCL is making a splash on the criuise scene for the coming year.
“With the introduction of Freestyle 2.0, which will be firmly in place
by the summer of 2008, we made a promise to enhance our guests’ total experience,” said Colin Veitch, NCL’s president and CEO. “NCL’s 2009 Alaska, Bermuda and Europe itineraries further that commitment by offering a diverse set of itineraries to some of the most popular cruising destinations in the world.”

NCL will offer the following Alaska itineraries in 2009:
Norwegian Pearl
Seven-day Glacier Bay, roundtrip from Seattle
Ports of call include Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan, Alaska and Victoria, British Columbia
Norwegian Pearl sails May 10, 17, 24 and 31; June 7, 14, 21 and 28; July 5, 12, 19 and 26; August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30; and September 6 and 13
Norwegian Star
Seven-day Sawyer Glacier itinerary, roundtrip from Seattle

See You In Bermuda
In 2007, NCL and the Bermuda Government reached a comprehensive, long-term agreement that calls for two of NCL’s newest and largest ships to be deployed to Bermuda for the next 10 years, commencing 2009 and running through 2018. The agreement also calls for NCL to continue its tradition of being the exclusive line to sail from Boston to Bermuda.

All Oceans Lead To Europe
Beginning March 30, 2008, NCL will deploy a ship year-round in Europe, a first in the company’s 41-year history. The 2,400-passenger Norwegian Jade will remain in Europe through spring of 2010.
