MSC Orchestra
February 14th, 2009
Eastern Caribbean

We were a group of 46 from Naples Florida, that set sail on the Orchestra on Feb. 14, 2009. Embarkation was very smooth. Naturally, you can’t please everyone. Personally speaking, this was our 5th cruise. I loved the ship. It was new, clean and very pretty. There are two very roomy pools, for a cruise ship. I would suggest that one of them be for adults only. As kids sail free, they tend to take over. I don’t use the pool, so it didn’t bother me, but I can understand why people would get upset.

We had a superior balcony and found it quite roomy. The cabin stewards were very good. (There were no animals made out of towels, but that neither makes or brakes a cruise.) The dining room service was very good. The head waiter and the asst. Maitre d was around every evening to every table and kept us laughing. I did not have any problems with the food. some did. The theater was beautiful and the entertainment was first class. Not all the shows suited my taste, but they were great non the less. The Entertainment team were awesome and really kept the guests entertained. Any one that didn’t have fun, it was their own fault. There was a small buffet in one of the lounges 5 out of 7 nights with a larger one on deck 13 duringthe week, with a grand buffet on deck 13 on night 6. This was one of the best Grand Buffet’s that I have ever seen. Some people complained about the crew making announcements in 6 different languages. Personally, this didn’t bother me. If only I could be so talented. I only speak English.
Would I sail this ship again? YOU BETCHA!! I had a wonderful time. I read all the reviews about how bad this ship was on Jan 2. I am sorry that you had that bad experience, but it seemed to be a comedy of errors – stuff happens – And I am glad that I didn’t allow your reviews to influence my trip. When we returned, I spent six weeks making DVDs of our trip for
the 23 couples in our group and just now have the time to write this review.

Hope this helps, and happy cruising.
